October is an ancestral month, but family is tricky. No matter how much you love them, and how proud you are of their achievements, sometimes you have to love them from a distance and focus on yourself. October being spooky time, more people than usual acknowledge the thin veil. You may not be into the woo, but this month it might go boo. So, let’s take this time to reflect on the happy memories, life lessons, and the contributions our family has made to who we are. After acknowledgements, say thank you and choose what to say goodbye to.
Now that we’ve already started letting go, we’re not going to wait for the New Year to start anew. Being that October is actually the eigth month, and eighth is the number of abundance(not just monetarily), we’re going to reign it in by enjoying, venerating, and celebrating the people and the life that choose us back. Recognise you’re better in spite of those who tried to sabotoge you and let any guilt wash away. Yes, easier said than done, and these words don’t exactly account for nuance, but times change and so does perseption, which is why we utilize introspection.
If you happen to be named after a family member, find the lesson in how they lived. If you aren’t named after anyone specific, start with your last name, and so on. Picture yourself in a cacoon as you process the lessons and emerge as a butterfly. You could also think about it, look in the mirror, and repeat ‘Become another person” like in The Master of Disguise until you feel different.
Jokes aside, I hope you’re able to blossom come spring.
