Hello, hello! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve written to you. We’re all familiar with the roller coaster of life; I feel like I’m on the cusp of greatness but can’t catch a break on the way to it. I know I’m not alone in this feeling; I’ve spoken with several people about it, and yet I’m not comforted by the solidarity.
Lately, I’ve been incredibly nostalgic and feel like the little engine that could, which I’m taking as a sign to nurture my inner child. Part of my childhood was dinosaurs; I have a Little Foot stuffed animal that, as a kid, I named Ali, because they’re the same type of dinosaur. I’ve noticed that I take to holding them in stressful times, so now I just leave them in the bed like when I was a kid, and it’s quite helpful for sleep, which is integral for good health.
On that note, it would seem I’m on track for medical answers. Which is also not a comforting process, so I’ve resigned myself to focus on personal development within my control.
Of course I’m diving deeper into astrology for this, as it keeps my attention while flexing my brain. I don’t know if I’ll dive deep enough to go to school for it, but it’s an enjoyable hobby that provides introspection. The real task is to not break self-imposed structure so I can make continuous progress. This is slightly more pressing as I’m prone to winter blues, which makes structure crumble and everything worse. So the formula will be eat well, sleep well, decrompress, schedule, and adjust as needed for flexibility. As I’m deeming success ahead of time, I now won’t have to think about a New Year’s resolution, because I’ll be gliding like a penguin on ice.
Hope you’re all finding ways to thrive in uncertain times!
