Every year, like a holiday, we gather around our screens to see an opulent display of fashion. The theme for 2026, “Fashion is Art,” intvites a wide range of interpretations. When I was young my mom taught me the basics of sewing. I remember being so excited the first time I made something, which ultimately came apart because I used about three long single stitches and fabric glue. The house of Gucci, with roots in equestrian since 1921 and the mainstay of Kering, has hit a speed bump. The design team is currently at the helm, it’s said that Demna(the incoming designer) may have input for the September 2025 show. Demna, who came from sister brand Balenciaga, will display his first collection in March of 2026. Is this designer change enough to build back Gucci’s momentum?
